2014 Parent Comments

"Coach Murray, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the Advanced Hitting and Fielding camp at George Washington's baseball field.  The video tips that you provided me on hitting were very helpful.  I’ve been working at the batting cages and making the adjustments you recommended.  It's now feeling natural to add the negative energy and it has definitely improved the power of my swing."

"My son enjoyed the Wood Bat Camp and will likely return next year for same camp.  My son told me he benefited with a lot of at-bats and seeing his results in the measurement of MVP points.  Excellent individualized feedback given by Coach Pototsky to the parents."

WHAT DO PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE?

Hi Mike, My son, Jason, and I really enjoyed the camp. Jason had a great time and I thought you all did a very good job. The food was good, the accomodations satisfactory, the management of schedule was excellent and it was a very good experience for the both of us. Thank you. David Schreiner.

Thanks Mike,We just got back from a great weekend packed with good usable, and solid baseball education. The best part was the way each coach broke down baseball to it’s basics. They taught us, step by step, the mechanics of baseball. When we pieced them all together, it became really valuable to all of us. The food was good, the dorm rooms were basic but fine and the air conditioning worked well. Although a lot was covered, the only thing I would add is some more education on the strategies of stealing and getting a lead off the bag. I thought the coaches had great attitudes and were always willing to stick around after to answer questions. Well done!!

The father son weekend exceeded all of my expectations. My son and I had a fantastic time. The coaches, led by Coach Swab, were enthusiastic, organized, approachable, patient, and highly instructive. My son and I arrived late, midway through the Friday evening session, and the coaches took care to ensure that we were able to check in smoothly. We were immediately and warmly brought into the field activities, which was a great start. I was especially impressed and pleased that Coach Swab took time to give my son batting instruction in the cage on Saturday morning since we missed the hitting instruction given to the group on Friday. That was above and beyond expectations! And the dads' game was great fun.
All four of the coaches are clearly dedicated to teaching young people the game of baseball, and doing it the "right way." All in all a very impressive weekend. We are already looking forward to next year. Congratulations!

Hi Mike: thanks for your note and for setting up such a valuable camp. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and found that Coach Benson and his staff ran an excellent program.

Mike, my son and I had a great experience at FSU this past weekend. It amazed me how much I did not know about the subtle techniques of better baseball, and how much your staff knew and shared with the boys. I look forward to working more with your organization. -J.Jordan

I thought the camp was great. My son, Zach, and I had a great time, met some nice people and I think he learned quite a bit in the two days. The instructors were friendly, knowledgable and related well to the kids. Coach Benson did an excellent job running the show. We look forward to attending again next year. – Jim T.
